Although there is no magic food that will assure you’ll get pregnant, there are some foods that may help you and your partner be healthier and boost your fertility, giving you more chances of getting pregnant.

Brown rice, barley, oatmeal, whole grain cereal

These foods are especially helpful for women suffering from PCOS or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome which is the most common cause of female infertility. These whole grains are great because they are considered as “slow carbs”. These foods have gradual effect on insulin and our body’s blood sugar, compared to “fast carbs” such as white bread, cakes, pizza and pastries which cause the insulin levels to spike. When the body’s insulin level rises too high, this disrupts the generation of hormones needed for reproduction.
